Boss Paid Me to Watch His Wife

An assignment that gets personal

The job sounds simple: keep an eye on the boss's wife. Then one evening by the pool turns into something neither of them planned. After that, the boss keeps calling, and each time the narrator moves to leave, she asks him to stay a little longer.

The hook is the double bind. He is being paid by one person while growing close to the other, and the phone ringing in the background keeps reminding him whose house he is in. Candy tags it Cuckold and Wife. Everything is implied rather than shown, and all characters are adults. The tension lives in the phone calls and the pauses, not in anything graphic.
