Under the Chief

Night shift in the on-call room

Harriet is awkward, self-conscious and surprised when the chief of surgery locks the on-call room door behind them. He tells her he has some hands-on training to offer. Outside in the corridor, the head nurse is waiting. She is jealous and would like to see Harriet fired.

The series builds on workplace tension and a power gap, and keeps the details suggestive. Everyone is an adult. Candy gives it no tags.

Hospitals make a good pressure cooker, and the blurb uses every part of it: the late shift, the locked room and a rival waiting in the hallway. It is also a story about confidence, since Harriet starts out unsure of herself. Candy does not reveal how it ends, so neither do we.

About Harriet Seagrave

Harriet Seagrave is the lead character Candy lists, and she is AI-generated rather than a filmed performer. After an episode you can chat with her privately. She also stars in Under the Boss, a separate story, and in the family drama Mum Got Sick On Our Holiday.
